How is Computer Vision Syndrome diagnosed?
Computer vision syndrome can be diagnosed through a comprehensive eye exam. Testing, with special emphasis on visual requirements at the typical computer working distance, along with results of other tests, allow your Vision Care Specialists’ optometrist to determine if you have CVS, and advise you on potential treatment options.

Treatments
CVS can occasionally be alleviated by obtaining regular eye care and making changes in how you view the computer screen. In most cases, your Vision Care Specialists’ optometrist will prescribe The Right Lenses for use while working at a computer. Eyeglasses or contacts with special lens designs, lens powers, or coatings may help to optimize vision and comfort. If appropriate our optometrists will prescribe you special lenses for use while on the computer. Options include:
- computer vision only lenses
- smartphone and tablet lenses
- office only lens
